How to get COVID vaccine certificate in UAE

If you have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the UAE, you can now get a certificate to show that you have been vaccinated. This certificate can be used for travel and other purposes. In response to the global outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), UAE public health authorities are taking action to protect the safety and well-being of UAE citizens, residents, and visitors. Part of this effort includes the launch of a vaccination program for all residents and citizens of the UAE.

The vaccine certificate will include the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your date of birth
  • The type of vaccine you received
  • The date you received the vaccine
  • The name and signature of the healthcare provider who administered

International travelers to the UAE who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure, and they will be exempted from quarantine upon arrival. You can get your vaccine certificate by visiting a healthcare provider in the UAE who is registered with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, or by contacting your airline or travel agent. 

International visitors who travel to Abu Dhabi no longer need a test before flying into Abu Dhabi if they are fully vaccinated, under 16 years old, or hold a COVID-19 recovery certificate with a QR code dated within 30 days of departure. Who travels are  but not fully vaccinated against must present a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours of their scheduled departure on the other hand visitors are no  required to take a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. However, the testing facility remains at the airport for any visitors who wish to take a PCR test (AED 40) to activate their Al Hosn green pass. International visitors who flying to Dubai and not fully vaccinated will need to present a COVID -19-vaccination certificate that contains a QR code.

To get your certificate, you will need to go to the website of the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention. On the website, you will need to log in with your Emirates ID. Once you are logged in, you will be able to download your certificate.

The certificate is available in English and Arabic. It contains your name, date of birth, the type of vaccine you received, and the date of vaccination. It also has a QR code that can be used to verify the authenticity of the certificate. Get up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)!
